That Parent Must Wise Up

A conversation I had with a father and his son, at my favourite Peranakan Kueh Shop, Molly’s ….

Boy : Daddy, daddy, I want to eat this. Buy leh, buy for me! (Boy keeps touching the exposed kueh with bare fingers.)

Daddy : Ok, which one do you want?

Boy : This one, this one. (Continues to touch the kueh.)

Alternative Mom looked on in horror when the dad picked those that the boy wanted but not what the boy had touched.

Alternative Mom (to the father) : Maybe you should pick those that your son has touched as they are already contaminated.

Daddy (To Alternative Mom) : Never mind.

Alternative Mom gave her classic horrified look and shook her head!

That parent must wise up!
