Something for the Parents, Something for the Children
A workshop to teach our children about the East Bali Poverty Project with activities that are aim at helping our children gain an insight into their lives.
The book, ‘The Art of Teaching by Doing’ is about how the children living on the hamlets of the Abang and Agung mountains at East Bali overcome their impoverished conditions through the help of the East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP). All art work in the book is done by the children.
EBPP sells the books, ‘The Art of Teaching by Doing’ and the ‘Teacher’s Guide’ as part of their effort in raising funds for all its many programmes that aim towards sustainable development.
The workshop not only introduces the project to the children but will include story time, hands-on activity, social studies, language arts that will teach them life in another community.
Depending on the size of the group, it will be for children from ages 5-12.
Parents are also thought of in this fundraising project and you will be included by having a pampering activity on your own. You will be ushered away to enjoy a sauna / indoor jacuzzi / outdoor jacuzzi / swim while you make friends or catch up with friends. You will also be given a lulur mandi (scrub) for use after your activity.
As it is a fundraising workshop, all monies collected will go to EBPP.
