Creating a blog from Wordpress can be a cakewalk or a bit of a ‘nightmare’, depending on how you do it and what sort of plugins you use.

From Wordpress, you can easily get a free domain and create your own blog instantly!

This blog is created from a personal domain. Get a domain from Name Cheap (use the coupon AprilBuzz for discount), and host it with Host Gator . Host Gator gives Live Support to a complete rookie like me. I strongly recommend Host Gator if you think you are going to need some sort of technical help.

The theme used is VSlider, very simple design but changing the header pictures was quite nightmarish.

The fantastic plugin from IImage will make uploading pictures a breeze. Wordpress seema to make uploading pictures, again, a nightmare (at least for me) but the clever people who created the plugins are really CLEVER! Use them!

Another fabulous plugin from Extreme Video Plugin makes uploading videos a breeze. Again, really CLEVER people. Highly recommended plugin!

Nonetheless, because Wordpress has such a marvellous network of support, I have enjoyed creating this blog very much, albeit a steep learning curve at some point.

I’m most willing to help (please be reminded I’m still very much of a rookie) anyone who is keen to create their own blogs, especially if you are a mother.
